The company as part of the Royal Military College – Duntroon (RMC-D) was established in 1954 and is currently the longest existing company. Gallipoli Company functions as a family oriented environment, often holding functions in the Gallipoli courtyard for company members and their loved ones. These events provide opportunities to establish well-rounded friendships both inside and outside the work environment.
After the hard work and fundraising of Gallipoli Company members they have established a blue gazebo and attained gym equipment in their outdoor area. They also hold functions in their common room, named the Fussell Room after Michael Fussell. The Fussell Room is also home to the Gallipoli museum, which contains many souvenirs and valuables from World War I.
Gallipoli Company always performs well in the Lee Shield competition between the companies at RMC-D. As of June 2013 they were in 2nd position and have been hoping to claim the title at the end of the year after winning the inter company tug-of-war.
Recently, Gallipoli Company chose to affiliate with the Australian Families of the Military Research Foundation (AFOM). Gallipoli Company recognise the importance of having AFOM researching and assisting families of the Australian Military. As part of their company fundraising Gallipoli hopes to donate a portion to this charity to further support their invaluable support to the ADF.
Gallipoli Company, as part of the RMC-D, continues to produce and support the development of junior officers in the Australian Army by providing a supportive team environment that instils the Armies values of courage, initiative, teamwork and respect.
